Manuscript Coaching & DE
If you have a finished or mostly finished manuscript, you may be ready for DE (developmental editing) or manuscript coaching. We work one-on-one at your own pace to complete revisions on the book focused on your goals: whether that’s publication or simply finishing the manuscript. Pricing Guidelines below.
Everyone’s needs are different. Let’s have a conversation about yours — DanielleHMonroe@gmail.com.

Jane Austen Reading Group
Celebrate the enduring brilliance of literary icon Jane Austen as we mark the 250th anniversary of her birth. Together, we’ll dive into the worlds of Sense & Sensibility and Mansfield Park, meet unforgettable characters, and explore the themes that continue to resonate today. We’ll also discover Austen’s life in the Georgian era and how her times shaped the stories we still love. Readers should arrive to the first class having read up to chapter 6 of Sense & Sensibility.

Reading Hemingway
Celebrate the enduring resonance of literary icon Ernest Hemingway as we dig into two of his most famous works—A Farewell to Arms and The Old Man and the Sea. Together we’ll explore the theatrical and often sparse worlds and discuss the man himself, whose own life was often more drama-filled than his novels. Students should come to the first class having read up to Chapter 6 of A Farewell to Arms

Write Your Own Story: Generative Memoir (Daytime & Evening)
(Thursdays in Arlington 7-9pm) (Mondays in Lexington 11am-12:30) Everyone has a story worth telling. Find yours! In a supportive space grounded in accountability and kindness, you’ll explore your personal stories through the three key elements of memoir: sensory sparks, scene building, and exterior perspective. Come ready to write with your computer or notebook. Expect guided exercises and two writing prompts to spark new work each week. Sharing is optional, but you’ll have the opportunity to receive feedback if you choose.

One-on-One Manuscript Coaching
Manuscript coaching is a tailored approach to helping an individual writer achieve their goals. Each project’s needs are different. Typically, I only offer manuscript coaching to writers who I have worked with before through classes at Grub Street, CCAE, ACE or LCE AND are close to having a completed first draft. This is a great option for writers looking to work at their own pace.
Other Services
I work one-on-one with writers at all stages of their craft and career. Contact me today for information on manuscript review, author coaching, and more.
